“Stay Patient”

Mephistopheles is a good man

why are they so terrified of him?

by telling all those stories

maybe they’re just some worries

god is a woman

please, embrace my poem

and be patient

with my dreadful omen

be patient with your excruciating doubts,

those empty bags under your eyes,

with hallucinations of mine

and that pain under your vein

be patient with my insecurities,

tacks on my feet

panic attacks,

that I can’t defeat

that anxiety,

which painfully drowns you away

from your mental liberty

don’t be ashamed or blamed,

embarrassed or smashed

that’s not a duel

you versus your beloved

the world is not a cruel dog

in the middle of the street

I swear you will defeat
